Crimson Peak

 Hey Divas,

I am officially entering my gothic horror romance era!!

Last night I watched the movie Crimson Peak for the first time because my theater was doing a rerun of it and I loved it! I hate that I barely discovered this movie now because it came out in 2015?! I have watched a few gothic horror movies, but this fall/winter, I really want to get into it more by watching more movies and reading more books with this vibe!

This movie is just so aesthetic and so gothic I love it! The wardrobe, the actors, the setting was amazing! I loved how haunting and beautiful the shots were. It was all about romance, ghosts, betrayal and secrets!

This movie truly awakened my love for this genre of movies and books! When I tell you I was so surprised by how much I enjoyed this! I knew I'd love the shots of the movies, because gothic horrors tend to have beautiful camera work, but the story was just amazing as well!

I am looking forward to exploring this genre more, so if you have any movie or book recommendations for this gothic horror romance vibe, please let me know! So I can add them to my list!!

xoxo,

Indigenous Diva

  1. Oooo, I REALLY want to watch this movie, but it's not available in my country T_T. I recon "The Secret of Moonacre" would go pretty well the type of genre you're describing, I have not watched it either however lol. Love your blog! xoxo
