Apple Pencil

I have been needing an Apple Pencil for so long, but I've been putting it off. I finally got one because I needed it for school!

Ghostface shirt & Twilight pillow

I got these when I went to spirit halloween! the shirt is so cute because its ghost face and also it has vhs on it! and you know I love physical media and movies! The twilight pillow is also supposed to be a vhs tape! 

Monster High Michael Myers doll

I decided to get back into monster high dolls because I loved them as a kid, so when I seen that MH was releasing this Michael Myers inspired one I had to preorder it! I hope it comes before halloween so I can display it next to my halloween movies! 

Books

I bought these two books the other day on my trip to barnes! Everyone was saying such good things about these books this summer that I had to get them!

Augtober

 Hey Divas,

It's Augtober, which means fall has officially started!

Yesterday I spent the day pretending it was fall! I went to spirit halloween and bought a few spooky items and looked at all the decor and costumes! I was trying to get some costume inspo. It has been so hot where I live that having this pretend fall day was nice and made me so ready for fall time! I am going to start transitioning into watching my fall movies and shows! 

I plan to take out my halloween decorations this weekend so I can slowly start decorating for Fall/Halloween! I love decorating my house for holidays especially halloween!

Romcom mindset

 Hey Divas,

Do you have a favorite New York romcom that you watch? 

Today I was thinking of rewatching Confessions of a Shopaholic, then it got me thinking about how much I love New York and the 2000s vibes that all these romcoms give. These romcoms always make me wish I was a journalist who wore cute outfits and fell in love in the most charming way.

 I decided it's time for me to start trying to live my life like I am a these romcom characters. I need to romanticize my life like these characters do; I need to go out and do things and socialize in order for anything remotely romcom worthy to happen. Not even romance wise, but friend wise too, these characters have great friends, social lives, and jobs. 

I also want to change up my style a bit, and actually get dressed up no matter where I go. I just want to look and feel good like these characters. They always have such amazing outfits and style. 

With that in mind, I am going to have a New York romcom marathon!

Reading Slump

 Hey Divas,

I have been in a reading slump the entire month of July! Ugh I hate it because even though I have been busy with school etc. I still have some time to read and I just have no motivation to pick up a book!

I read half a book a couple weeks ago and I was loving it, but the minute I put it down I haven't picked it back up since! 

Does anyone have any tips to get me out of this reading slump?

Physical Media

Hey Divas,

Physical media is so back!

Myself and so many others are bringing back physical media in these modern technology times. Everyone collects physical media for many different reasons, but the main reason people are reverting to older technology/physical media is because they want to actually own their media. 

Technology now is great, but do we really own anything if it's all digital? One day the internet can fail, or every digital platform can erase everything, and what would we have? Nothing. If we store everything online, our movies, books, photos, and music then we relay solely on these apps to keep our memories and media. These companies or higher ups can alter and delete any media they see fit, but if it's physical we will always have that media with the original content on it. So many streaming platforms remove so many shows and movies all the time, that's why I started collecting because I wanted to make sure I can watch my favorite shows and movies whenever I want.

My physical media collection just continues to grow everyday because I collect books, DVDs, VHS movies, vinyl records, CDs, and magazines! I started my physical media collection with books because I love reading and knew I wanted to grow a library in my home. Right now I have 500+ books in my home library! I also collect kids books for my nieces, and maybe future children. My DVD collection is my second biggest collection in my home, because I collect all types of movies and shows, from romcoms, children, action and horror movies! I recently started collecting magazines and I love it because you get to read so many articles by different people, plus you can see good pictures of actors etc. The new Devil Wears Prada 2 movie solidified my decision on collecting magazines because I used to only have like 2 magazines, but that movie showed how technology could be taking over physical media and journalism, so I decided to start growing my magazine collection. I even collect older technology like crt tv, and gaming consoles. I plan to make another post fully about those, but I just wanted to mention it since I collect them.
